Bikepacking 2024 Ride #5 – Mt. Madonna, A True Gravel Grinder

Mt. Madonna County Park sit up in the hills straddling the line of Watsonville and Gilroy. It is a lovely mountain topped well forested camp ground with lovely views. This is the only ride of the season that will take up on to a dirt road, very exciting!

Route: 

After we leave the shop we will head through Willow Glen down towards Almaden Lake and then along the Santa Theresa Park foothills until we get into Morgan Hill. After riding through downtown Morgan Hill we will head onto Watsonville Rd until we get to Redwood Retreat Rd and up to the gravel road (that does get steep at times, but is well graded and not too loose), that will take up to Summit Rd and the entrance to the Mt Madonna Campground.
